A Journey Must Begin with a Single Step

And so it does . . .

8 AM: Leuprolide Acetate aka Lupron 10 units subcutaneous injection. Check!

Now IVF#1 has “officially” begun. Follistim and Menopur combo stimulation to begin approximately on or about Jan 21 and egg retrieval guesstimated to occur on or about Jan 31.

Do I feel any differently about it than yesterday? Hmmmm . . . well right now my belly itches like crazy at the injection site. Aside from that distraction I will admit to a bit of “sneaking in under the radar” hopefulness and maybe even a glimmer of excitement.

The most repetitive thought in my mind? “God, let this work, please just let this work!”

A journey must begin with a single step . . . and so it has. IVF must begin with a single injection and and so it has.

Yay! Things are really underway now. And I’m all caught up in the idea that you did your first injection just as I finished my last…. hmmm.
