And the verdict is . . .

Dr. P called. My E2 came back at 546 which is safely above the goal of 400. He is a little discouraged with the 7mm lining as well but sounded much more positive about it than I felt and than I perceived the nurse and U/S technician to feel. He also said his minimum for the lining is 8 mm not 9 mm as I had been told before. So we’re not that far off and he’d hate to see me start all over and go through it all again, etc. So we’re rechecking Saturday and if it’s still 7 mm we’ll cancel and if it’s 8 mm or better we’ll go ahead. The transfer may be pushed back a day or two if we go ahead.

So, all in all I feel better. Still in suspense until Saturday, but I feel better having specific criteria for going ahead or canceling. Also, Dr. P will be doing the scans on Saturday so I will have a chance to discuss it with him instead of a tech who can’t really answer what I need to know.

So that’s the plan . . . I’m going to be drinking that raspberry tea like a mad woman.

Thanks to everyone for their input. It’s always good to get another point of view! Sometimes I feel like I am just too close to it all to think straight.

Also worth mentioning: when Dr. P said we’d give it a chance with some more time I felt relieved. So that tells me that my heart was more in going ahead than canceling. That’s good to know too. I will accept canceling if the lining still sucks because I want these two embies to have a fighting chance.

So it all hangs in the balance of one measly millimeter!

If I have the energy . . . I still have another post to write about my acupuncture experience and why I gave up going int the first place. Later.

Sounds like a good plan. I refused to transfer with this last FET unless my lining was 8mm knowing it was our last chance. My RE is fine with 7, but I wanted 8. I ended up with 8.5 so we proceeded.

I really hope your lining gets to where it needs to be. Go lining, go!

Oh, do tell your acu story. Inquiring minds want to know…. Did your doc suggest anything for helping your lining? (And more importantly, can he score you a via*gra?) (Show him this link: http://humrep.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/content/full/15/4/806) If no viagra, what are his thoughts on a daily baby aspirin, Vitamin E supp, and progesterone supp?
